DELINQUENT REMINDER NOTICES RELEASED: PROPERTY TAX BILLS OVERDUE

San Diego County Treasurer-Tax Collector Dan McAllister announced today his office has started mailing 38,343 delinquent reminder notices to taxpayers who failed to pay one or both installments of their 2015-2016 secured property taxes.

Avoid the fine and pay your property taxes on time. San Diego County Treasurer-Tax Collector Dan McAllister today reminded local taxpayers that the last day to pay the second installment of their 2015-16 secured property taxes without penalty is Monday, April 11, 2016.
“More than half of San Diego County property owners have discovered that the easiest and most secure way to pay their property taxes is online,” said McAllister. “I invite and encourage all San Diego homeowners to try out our mobile friendly online payment system.”
COUNTY INVESTMENT FUND EARNS HIGHEST RATING FOR 16TH YEAR IN A ROW

San Diego County Treasurer-Tax Collector Dan McAllister announced today that Standard and Poor’s (S&P) has reaffirmed its highest rating of San Diego County’s investment pool. S&P assigned the investment pool “AAAf” (credit quality) and “S1” (volatility) ratings. These ratings indicate extremely strong protection against credit losses associated with the pool’s investments, and low sensitivity to changing market conditions due to its low-risk profile and conservative investment policies.
